CFXC Boys take 3rd, Girls 4th at a Muddy Berkshire Race!

CFXC starts the season with a tough, muddy run at Berkshire. The Girls team finished 4th of 22, beating CVC rivals Aurora and Kenston... only falling to Division 1 teams Chardon, Cleveland St. Joseph, and Division 3 Berkshire. The Top 5 was spread by 2:10 and the Top 7 was spread by 2:43. The Girls Top 5 ran an average of 22:04 and Top 7 ran an average of 22:32. The 2014 Girls ran faster in the mud than the 2013 girls ran on a dry course, that is an awesome performance! The Girls are now 6-0 in Division 2 competition.

The Boys team finished 3rd of 20, beating CVC rivals Aurora and Kenston... only falling to Chardon and NDCL. The Boys Top 5 was spread by 1:52 and the Top 7 was spread by only 2:29! The Boys Top 5 ran an average of 18:12 and Top 7 ran an average of 18:32. 7 Boys improved their time on this course from 2013. The Boys are now 5-1 in Division 2 competition.

Congratulations also to the CFMS Boys and Girls for BOTH taking home Team Championships!!!

The weather was warm and the course was soggy, so while we love completing our first race, we know that faster times are ahead as the courses get better and as we learn from our races.
